Quality > Quantity: How Heroic Climbed the Leaderboard
Heroic Productions is an Audio/Visual Event Production Company with over 20 years of experience. They provide event production at large scare corporate events, galas, and more.
When I joined Heroic Productions at the end of 2022, their social media lacked strategy. Posting was much more frequent than competitors, misaligned with the brand, and failed to resonate with their target audience—leaving low engagement and stagnant follower growth.

Goals & Strategic Shift
-
Primary goal: Grow the audience—specifically on LinkedIn where the target audience was.
-
Brand awareness: Maintain a consistent presence on Facebook and Instagram.
-
Approach: Pause high-frequency posting (3×/week), reduce to 1×/week. Focus editorial calendar on high-value, audience-aligned content.
Tactical Execution
-
Conducted a brand-audit to assess tone, visuals, and format.
-
Defined content pillars (e.g., behind‑the‑scenes, client spotlights, industry insights, industry education).
-
Curated weekly posts tailored to each platform, targeting key audience interests.
-
Maintained engagement through thoughtful captions and responsive community interaction.
Results & Impact
-
Audience Growth: Achieved a 32% increase in LinkedIn followers year-over-year
-
Competitive Benchmarking: Climbed from 6th to 5th place in follower growth among peer event-production companies.
-
Engagement Quality: Though posting frequency was reduced, interactions became more meaningful—likes, comments, and shares improved noticeably.

By implementing a focused strategy, I was able to rescue a previously stagnant social media presence and transform it into a growth engine aligned with the brand’s identity. I crafted a streamlined, brand-aligned content workflow that emphasized quality over quantity—ensuring each post resonated with our target audience. This deliberate approach delivered impressive results, including significant follower growth and upward movement in industry benchmarking. My work demonstrates that publishing less frequently but with more relevance can outperform high-volume posting, a tactic widely supported by marketing best practices on social listening and content optimization.
